If We But Suffer God To Guide Us

This is another arrangement of a hymn that could coordinate with the church year. This would go well during the New Year, but is just fine as a general service anthem. I wrote a beautiful and simple melody that connects all the parts of the chorale style of the well known hymn. The harmonies begin very simple and traditional sounding, but progress to more contemporary harmonies, while still retaining the feel of a chorale arrangement. It is just barely 4 minutes, perfect for services, and the solo instrument can be violin, clarinet, or oboe, or any other fitting instrument. The whole piece is very peaceful, yet keeps the listener. interested, almost as if they were singing along. I hope you enjoy this arrangement.
