Penny, a homeless girl with many struggles, unexpectedly finds joy when a new friend helps her decorate her shabby shoes, inspiring others to do the same. Wearing their artsy kicks, the group plans a community dance only to have the event jeopardized when their shoes are stolen by a greedy classmate. As the kids try to salvage their neighborhood party, Penny's more privileged classmates learn what it means to "walk in someone else's shoes." Written for a cast of 12 or more performers ages 8–14, this musical is a mission project, art project, and dance show all rolled into one big production with a powerful message: everyone deserves love and empathy. This product is solely digital – no hard copies are available. 10% of each purchase will be donated to Soles4Souls. The complete show contains the director's script with piano accompaniment, a reproducible student script, lyrics packet, rehearsal MP3s, performance MP3s, and a director's guide with production notes, conversation starters, optional devotions for faith-based groups, and more. The score package contains the same scripts, lyrics packet, and director's guide but does not include the MP3 recordings.
