Impulse Power!

Impulse power, in the Star Trek universe, is considered to be up to one quarter the speed of light. The tempo of this high-speed work for young bands is not quite as fast as that, but it does generate a great deal of energy and momentum. The initial drive of the opening gives way to an expressive lyrical section before returning to the opening material and a percussive close. The resulting fusion is an exhilarating experience for young musicians.
