Your choir will enjoy singing the Latin/German version of this joyous setting of the Christmas carol "In dulci jubilo" ("Now Sing We, Now Rejoice"). It begins quietly (dulci) gradually building to the final stanza where the Tenors and Basses sing the melody exuberantly while the Sopranos and Altos accompany them in 2 to 3-part harmony as the angelic chorus. The text is the original macaronic text alternating between Latin and German phrases. Translations of the Latin phrases are found on the final page. A separate piano part is available for convenience. Harp may also be used for accompaniment. This work is also available in a Latin/English edition.
