This is an upbeat song of praise that will work for any combination of two voice parts, from children to adult voices. The energetic opening with syncopated phrases is supported by a vigorous piano accompaniment. A more lyric section follows before the return to the opening material. All vocal parts are in the treble clef but are intended to be sung by any voice part.

This beautiful anthem with text attributed to 11th-century Andalusian philosopher Solomon ibn Gabirol begins with a unison chant as if sung by the cantor. Each time the chant is sung in Hebrew, it is followed by a full chorus in English in a beautiful litany of sound that cadences into a lovely suspended chord. Only at the conclusion of the piece are the chant and the chorus united in subtle elegance, with a satisfying resolution in the major tonality. Easy to medium in difficulty.

Nick Strimple has composed a set of three easy anthems that are surprisingly easy. But elegant and distinguished also describes these settings of familiar texts. The words by 19th century English poet John Bowring is the least known text, but it is timeless and speaks of God's enduring love. The organ accompaniment contains scrumptious suspensions and resolutions for an anthem that works equally well as a choral piece, a solo, or for unison choir.

With original music written for cantor and mixed choir, this setting of the traditional Hebrew text is inspirational and heartfelt. Any voice type may serve as the solo cantor, and the choral lines support the soloist throughout.
