Infernal Ritual

Dark intensity and dramatic pacing shape this concert work designed as a powerful closer for middle or early high school bands. A slow opening in 7/4 creates tension before the time signature changes to 4/4 and driving, fast energy takes over. A lyrical middle section provides contrast, then returns to the fast material, offering wide stylistic variety and keeping every part actively engaged. The substantial variety of percussion instruments works well for large sections and adds deep intensity to the musical texture.
