Intermode

A richly colourful set of shifting harmonies underlies a simple melody, embellished with triplets of differing values, all of which make for a haunting musical effect. Twice-through arrangement. Some wide intervals, but a slow pace and arpeggiandos make them palatable for the average hand. Extended harmony that switches between various major and minor keys for shifts in colour and mood: hence, the title, which sounds a bit academic. It is an accurate description of the devices used, but the Music itself is not at all dry or formulaic. Dur. 2:20
