Inventions for Organ

More than forty years ago, World Library published two volumes of delightful and creative Inventions for organ by respected Dutch composer Marius Monnikendam.  For this compilation, we've kept the original designation of him as the "inventor" of these thoroughly enjoyable and well-crafted contributions to the parish organist's repertoire.  Richard Proulx has culled the finest selections from the two original volumes, and arranged them in order of increasing difficulty.  The first pieces in the book are for manuals only.  Subsequent ones add some simple pedal, with the final ones being full-fledged organ works for hands and feet together!  In addtion, Richard Proulx has added helpful registration and phrasing marks to this edition, along with informative introductory notes.  Those who are just beginning to learn to play the organ will find user-friendly and liturgy-useful items in this book as they progress, while those who are more accomplished will happily add these charming jewels to their repertoire.
