J Birds

This showcase for two trombones, dedicated to the late, great J.J. Johnson, features moderate brass ranges and accessible up-swing rhythms. To properly complement the energetic solo lines, it's to be played with a light feel at the indicated tempo (quarter note=192). An optional 5th trombone part is included, plus an alternate 1st tenor sax part (substitute for the 2nd trombone solo part). The trumpet 1 part has one written high Eb.
