This holiday chart is a down-and-dirty funk chart based on the traditional favorite Angels We Have Heard on High. This arrangement of Joy to the World uses that style in a clever way to highlight the ensemble and give your drummer a chance to show off their brush technique. The chart is very playable and serves as a super introduction to the lighter side of swing.

Using a light and breezy calypso vibe, this arrangement will be as much fun to play as it is to hear. There are several interesting melodic and harmonic twists that will keep everyone on their toes, but it is very accessible and should require a minimum of rehearsal time. This flexible arrangement is adaptable and will work with a wide variety of wind configurations.
