Angelic Invitation

Renowned performer, conductor, teacher and composer Carol McClure draws upon her lifelong interest in the music of the Shaker communities of her native Kentucky. This rousing, compelling setting is perfect for younger voices in both school and community choirs. For school use, several pedagogical opportunities exist: (1) The music of the Shakers, an American 19th century communal movement (2) A cappella singing in parts, and (3) singing in canon.
