Joaquin on Sunshine

A creatively titled piece for a large ensemble, 15 - 17 players, this has a festive, soulful Afro Cuban flavor which is thickly scored with a full complement of Latin rhythm section instruments. This advanced selection, at almost five minutes in performance time, uses a lot of different hand instruments in addition to traditional band room instrumentation. This will make a great closer for larger percussion ensemble concerts.
