John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course

Part Six gives students more playing time at the intermediate level. The fun and lively pieces are longer than in previous levels and include etudes that support new technical concepts. New concepts are clearly laid out at every stage of this method.  Part Six introduces cut time, triplets, dotted eighth notes in different meters, melody in an inner voice, and syncopation. An introduction to minor scales is given at the end. Part Six ends with an arrangement of Liebestraum No. 3 which is supported by a short biography of Franz Liszt, a composer that John Thompson clearly loved.
