As a jazz beginner, learning how to improvise was a difficult challenge. Charts with simple blues chord changes and a catchy melody such as Killer Joe, Green Onions and C Jam blues are appreciated as they provide a safe harbor in which to experiment and improve at improvising. My hope is that Just Bluesin will be accepted by music educators as another chart which provides a venue for jazzers to hone their improvisational skills and have a lot of fun.
