This composition was inspired by the service given by bishops in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishops are the spiritual leaders of their local congregation, referred to as a ward. They typically serve for a period of roughly five years before they are released and a new bishop is called. This composition is a musical representation of the spiritual journey a bishop goes on from the day he is called to the day he is released. It is also an expression of love to those who serve in that capacity. This composition can also be played for leaders of any faith who serve in a similar role.
