I only recently came across this march and have thoroughly enjoyed working with it. Published after the composer's death, it was probably named after him by his publisher, C. L. Barnhouse. The following are features of this arrangement for concert performance: Portrait orientation of parts for concert performance; More consistency in articulations and dynamics; Fully written out Trio section (without repeats); Dynamics adjusted to reflect some options that reflect performance practice of the time, e.g., soft the first through the second strain; Optional TACETS to further those dynamic changes; Additional parts: Alto Saxophone 2, Timpani, Bells, Contralto Clarinet; Octave adjustment of Bass Trombone (the original part is included as "Trombone 3 (Tenor)"); Reduction of four cornet parts to three trumpet parts.
