This programmatic work for young bands conveys all the awesome power of an active volcano!  A peaceful opening section gradually builds into a cacophony of sound through the use of interesting musical effects and percussion.  Brief aleatoric passages engage the students' creativity as they "choose a note" to depict various stages of a volcanic eruption.  Energetic and forceful, this is a good transition piece to take your band to the next level.
