A lovely, contemporary solo which offers consolation as we experience the loss of a loved one.  In empathizing with the emptiness, the words and music are then able to lead us on a journey through to hope.  "The sun is hidden from our hearts today.......but yet we know the sun shines brightly somewhere...... Light lives on....." With a medieval sound of Christmases past, and a contemporary text of the ageless quest for inner light and healing, "In The Soft Stillness" blends tradition with revelation.  A soaring, yet gentle, descant on the final verse may be sung, or played on a C instrument or bells.  This score provides SAB and piano accompaniment.   This anthem is also available in a score with the original organ accompaniment and a tenor part added.

Your men will shine in this song!  The men sing the melody for each chorus, and as the chorus reappears, they are joined by the women adding a new harmony.  Unison voices sing the verses - alternating between men and women.   As the words of the chorus go:  "God grant us wisdom, God grant us courage.  Patience to wait, yet to keep on believing:  Seeds grow to trees thru the rain and sunshine.  Lives grow to love thru the mystery of God."

With a very simple piano accompaniment and guitar chords, (both optional) this children's song, in its 7 verses, tells the lively Genesis story of the 7 days of creation.  Half of the days/verses connect themselves to a colour, such as BLUE for the second day when water and sky appeared, and YELLOW for the fourth day when "...God made stars up high."   The seventh verse is short and spoken slowly:  "On the seventh day God had a good.......long....... REST!"   Well suited to creative embellishment, such as actions, drama, animal sounds ... and just plain having fun!

Rightly called the "Song of Songs," this new music for the biblical love song is filled with passages of lush sustained harmonies contrasted with sections that skip along like a dance.  The ancient text is given new life:  "Arise, my darling....and come away....winter is past."  This score is SSA with piano.  It is also available in an SSAA score.

As an invocation of light and healing, "Lenten Meditation" can be sung in any season of the year.  This shorter version, as well as the SATB version, hearkens to centuries past with its chant-like melodies and polyphonic segments, while also connecting to the present.

The "Ballad" is the first of 3 pieces of the song set for women's choir entitled "Seasons of True Love."  Originally written and performed as a trio accompanied by harp, strings and flute, the mesmerizing quality may still be captured in the SSA and SSAA arrangements with piano.  The story of courtship and "Seasons of True Love" is sung in dialogue with optional soloists.  Performances of this piece as a solo, trio and choral arrangement have been highly praised.
