Kolomoki

This beginning band work is named after one of the earliest mound complexes in the United States. An emphatic rhythmic brass and percussion statement evokes the sounds of this ancient civilization echoing out of the past. A simple woodwind melody follows, reflecting the manner in which these people lived, all created using the first six notes learned in band instruction.
