Here is one of John Tavener's most famous choral works now available for string orchestra! This arrangement came from the composer himself for the soundtrack of the 2006 movie: "Children of Men." Tavener's reflective and thoughtful music is well suited to strings, and his melodic lines, which occasionally clash into a surprising harmony, always resolve with beautiful simplicity. Bowings may be adjusted to fit your group. Although there are a couple changes from even to odd meters, they create a wonderful ebb and flow to the simple melody.
