Largo and Allegro Assai

These two movements are taken from a trio sonata by William Boyce. The lyrical Largo section is a wonderful opportunity to teach legato, and the Allegro movement reinforces fugal writing and Baroque brush-stroke technique. Cello and bass double throughout, violin 2 and viola double in the Allegro movement. Cello and bass have easy shifting.
