The Gospel/s songbook was written due to the inspiration of The Sermon on the Mount. The work is intricate and flows through it's musical passages, attempting to emulate the great Frederic Chopin where possible. Its challenges are fulfiled when mastered as intended, for grade 3 piano. A must for students attempting to advance on piano.

Nargothrond, from The Elven Kingdoms, was inspired by the epic "The Lord of the Rings" tale. Splendid and sorrowing the piece is not easily forgotten. Ideal for students of string quartet. Grade 2-3.

NARGOTHROND

Dark shadows wash across a troubled mind, played out with a jazz hinted melody in D minor. Piano at the higher end of grade 3.

This composition, written for Vermeer, is strident and has the musical feeling of something that is doggedly-determined. A reflection on the painter's life, rather than on the work itself.

VERMEER

Agitated and dreamy, the dramatic music is sent flowing through the keys of Bb, G and Ab, in celebration of the artist's achievements. For piano grade 2-3.

CARAVAGGIO

Leggiero in atonal key, and A Major, this piece is written with gratitude to the great Italian painter. Nearer to grade two piano. Well worth the study.

RAPHAEL

Contemplative of the painter studying his masterpiece. Joyfully flowing through the keys of A, E, G and F Major. Then the joy fades to a deep concentration as an error is found in the painting.

In a mood doggedly-determined, that begins in C and moves to A Major. From the work: "The Old Masters" For string quartet, grade 2-3. Vermeer reflecting on his life and his hometown of Delft.
