Using a text from "Psalms Now" by Leslie Brandt, this is "Let Us Begin This Day".
Taken from Psalm 95 and 126, It tells us that we are to begin each day with singing, whether we feel like it or not. Each day before us is uncertain and we no not what each day will bring. But, wherever we go, we go forth as servants of the living God to touch the lives of all we meet with God's healing love. If we do this, we will end each day with praises.
I feel it is a very appropriate text for our times. It is scored for SATB with some divisi, keyboard and with an optional brass quintet. This choral work is suitable for concert or church.
The recording is The Texas Voices, Alan Dyer, director.
