Lighthouse Keeping Man, The

Beautiful flugel or trumpet ballad feature with highly textured voicings and an interesting harmonic structure. Nice solo chorus for piano. Written in honor of the great Howard Rumsey, the former leader/bassist of the Hermosa Beach, CA based Lighthouse All-Stars. Lead trumpet to a high written E. 5/4/4/4 no doubles required, but flugels as requested at several points will contribute to the lyricism.
