Lilt

Lilt was composed as a light-hearted reflection of the pastoral simplicity evoked in traditional Irish music. The use of two soprano saxes in a call and response setting, often doubled with flugelhorn or trumpet, provides a unique challenge to the saxophone section. Pleasing textures and simple modal solos make this piece an enjoyable one for both the performer and the listener.
