Little David, Play on Your Harp

This charming arrangement of the popular African-American spiritual tells the story of David tending his sheep, slaying Goliath, and serving as king while remaining "God's faithful child and shepherd boy."  The light-hearted piano accompaniment imitates sounds of a harp playing and a giant falling before the anthem concludes with a playful partner-song.  An optional scripture-based narrative provides a creative introduction to the piece, highlighting David's anointment as king and verses of praise from the Psalms.
