"The Little Feet March captures the whimsical and adventurous spirit of a typical day in the life of a toddler. The piece unfolds in the following sections: Play Time, Lunch Time, Trouble, Bath & Clean-Up, Bedtime Story, No Sleep When Told, Dad Enters the Room – Lights Out.
Each section introduces distinct motivic material, painting vivid musical scenes that reflect the ever-changing moods and activities of a child’s daily routine. The work explores the many layers of how a child can entertain themselves—carefree and uninhibited—regardless of circumstance.
At its heart, The Little Feet March is a personal tribute. It is dedicated to my son, Aiden Little, who has shown me the beautiful gift of parenthood and the pure innocence of childhood."
