"Little Things," commissioned by McGill Camerata, is a quiet celebration of contented love. The vocal lines are thoughtful and simple, the piano backdrop reminiscent of a music box in its delicate steadiness. An extension of Marion Strobel's original poem of the same name, the text daydreams about a sweet, tangible love, one to be shared with someone truly special: a partner, a family member, or a friend. This relationship, like many of our own, is defined by its day-to-day happenings not the milestones and revelations, but the little things.
