Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming

This German folk carol dates from the 16th century and was included in several German Catholic hymnals. Present-day choirs have come to learn the piece through the harmonization of Michael Praetorius, whose setting is arranged with a fauxbourdon treatment here by Richard Proulx. This arrangement was featured in two episodes of the HBO series "The White Lotus," which aired in 2025.
