Logical Events

Written for the Ithaca College Summer Music Academy, this piece will challenge each performer to play a variety of standard percussion instruments. Through the three connected but distinct sections, each member of the group plays a short solo feature. The melodic interlude features everyone on mallet instruments. Although conceived as a quartet, more players could be added by splitting up the various instruments assigned to each part. A solid, accessible and fun piece!
