Long-Expected Dawn

With original music and text, this lovely Advent anthem interweaves the tunes Veni Emmanuel and Ermuntre dich, mostly in the flute part. Choir and flute are heard alone in the opening measures, and with the piano's entrance, the tempo increases. Very interesting and engaging, it offers fresh insight into the traditional themes of darkness, light, despair, and hope.
