Lotus Picking Song is a lyrical piece in 3/4 that is perfect for your Chinese New Year assembly. It is based on a traditional Chinese Tang Dynasty poem that compares lotus flowers to the beautiful girls who are picking them. This arrangement is suitable for players who can tackle Grade 1 repertoire. It also features parts for "outliers" in your ensemble. These parts will support your newest players and challenge your more able musicians. You are also allowed to photocopy the parts (not the score) for practice purposes. I am a music teacher and I know how nervous I get about sending parts home with children!
Also available are play-along tracks to support your students with independent practice. To help them along, there are "Only Me" (OM) recordings.
