Lullaby

This is No. 6 from Gretchaninoff's cycle of children's songs entitled The Honeybee, opus 66. The moderately contrapuntal vocal writing is punctuated by an interesting piano accompaniment. Childlike in nature, this delightful song has lovely harmonies and is simply set with a supportive accompaniment. An English translation makes this work very accessible to any ensemble.
