Lusaka

Bright boogaloo straight eighth chart. (Lusaka is the capital city of Zambia). This is feature for Alto and Baritone Saxes. The solo sections are centered around G7sus (concert) and Bb7. It can get as funky as you want. Each soloist has an open chorus and a background that can be cued or used as the second chorus. The shout chorus is a "call and response" between saxes and brass with just drums the first half. Bass enters midway through leading to a final restatement of the tune. What makes this tune pop is the articulation. The more like "Tower of Power," the better. Lead trumpet to concert high Bb (high C).
