Lux Brumalis

Translated as "Wint'ry Light," this is a beautiful multi-movement cycle for choir and piano. Depicted in four movements that total about nine minutes, the thematic material continues throughout the work with a subtle and warm musical portrayal of the first nights of early winter. The piano accompaniment includes interludes and opportunities for improvisation that add to the minimalistic feel of the work. A perfect soundscape for the pristine winter season.
