Malletrix

Malletrix is a delightful solo for unaccompanied two-mallet marimba in ABA form. The A section is melodically driven, with passages requiring the mallets to work independently. In contrast, The B section is legato and rolled throughout. The A section returns with some embellishments and a big finish. The piece works equally well as a performance piece or technical study. Cool stuff!
