You can say it's part lullaby, part love song.  The melody goes through quite an arch of which the 2nd, expanded bridge (starting at measure 56)  is the most engaging and emotional part.

A  melody which is part nocturne and part contemplative yet never departs from its haunting hold on the listener.   The serenade can be to a fond memory or a long-lost love interest, and midnight is not the only hour it can be enjoyed but, oh it so suits it.

Midnight Serenade

I'm proud to say this song is gaining popularity with playlist curators on the streaming platforms. As best as can be described, it's a mischievous, contemplative waltz with a twinge of Russian folk-dance influence.  I also extracted a short version from this for electric piano, and it's a wonderful dark lullaby. Also available here.  However, this full version is more elaborate and a lot of fun!

A Clever Scheme

As best as can be described, it's a mischievous, contemplative waltz with a twinge of Russian folk dance influence.

The style is a little bit like Spanish guitar, particularly with the rolling chords in the opening and at the bridge. The main theme can be described as pure romantic expression; perhaps dealing with the longing of an old love. I made no stops in composing it as passionate as I could, just as the tittle of the album implies.

Forbidden Reunion

It starts out as a slow-paced Spanish march but then builds into a lively arpeggio going into the 1:51 mark (measure 32) Here, it's meant to be a virtuoso emotional outpouring to compliment the sentimental melody of longing and expression from the heart. It then winds down back to the march similar to the opening section.

Vuelve A Mi

This classic melody has been played by hundreds of musicians and thousands of times but mostly in acoustic guitar.   In fact for most pro's and students of the guitar, it has become a staple of a "must know" piece.    There are many theories of who may have composed the piece from Albeniz to Tarrega to Narcisso Yepes and more.    But the truth may never be known as to who really composed this addictive melody surrounded in mystery and myth.   Here is a rarely captured rendition on Piano solo which goes a bit beyond the traditional simple notation style to encompass more of its haunting allure.

The Spanish Romance

For those who have seen the film, you'd certainly remember the Tom Cruise character, Lestat, playing the piano with such ferocity while he casually chats. Then in a later part plays the Haydn melody again in a more somber mood as the scene calls for it.
No one can deny that this choice of music for a vampire movie captures the horror aspect and is appropriately named after a frightful and powerful character. It's taken from Haydn's Sonata no. 59 and somehow it has found renewed "immortality" in the 1994 movie. Strong opening bass notes, wonderful major keys bridge, and this version returns to the main melody with even more dramatic flair!

Lestat's Sonata

Starts out as a sweet lullaby but them goes to a passionate love theme.    The piece was inspired by composer's own daughter, so it came straight from the heart when it was first put on keyboard.   Beautiful and soothingly phrased from beginning notes to the strong ending.
