March of the Three Wise Men of the East

Christmas Tree was different from most of Liszt's piano music because it was simpler and somewhat child-like. Liszt dedicated this suite of twelve pieces, mostly based on Christmas Carols, to his granddaughter Daniela von Bulow. Adeste Fideles (Oh, Come All Ye Faithful) was scored as iThe March of Three Wise Men of the East.i This arrangement is an exact transcription of the original piano composition, except that the key was changed from AM to CM, and articulations, bowings and fingerings were added to make the composition more suitable for young string players.
