Mass (Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Benedictus, Agnus Dei) for Choir SATB, Oboe and Synthesizer (alternativ also Piano or Organ possible).

This fair was created as part of a GEMA grant to support freelance musicians and composers during the Corona period. Compositions for small ensembles were supported. This mass was designed for a four-part choir, oboe and synthesizer. In the outer movements of the mass, i.e. in the Kyrie and Agnus Dei, excerpts from the medieval "Dies Irae" hymn (Day of Wrath) about the Last Judgment, which was an integral part of the Requiem for a long time, are quoted, hence the name of the mass. The use of these motifs is also intended to create a reference to the situation in the corona pandemic in which this fair was created. At the end of the mass, in the Agnus Dei, this gloomy framework dissolves and the harmony turns to major when it says "Dona nobis pacem"  Give us your peace.

Diese Messe entstand im Rahmen eines Stipendiums der GEMA zur Unterstutzung freiberuflicher Musiker und Komponisten in der Coronazeit. Gefordert wurden Kompositionen fur kleine Besetzungen. So wurde diese Messe konzipiert fur vierstimmigen Chor, Oboe und Synthesizer. In den Ecksatzen der Messe, also im Kyrie und Agnus Dei, werden Ausschnitte des mittelalterlichen Dies Irae" Hymnus (Tag des Zorns) uber das jungste Gericht, der lange Zeit fester Bestandteil des Requiems war, zitiert, daher der Name der Messe. Die Verwendung dieser Motive soll auch einen Bezug zur Situation in der Corona-Pandemie herstellen, in der diese Messe entstand. Am Ende der Messe, im Agnus Dei, lost sich dieser dustere Rahmen auf und die Harmonik wendet sich nach Dur, wenn es heit Dona nobis pacem"  Gib uns deinen Frieden.
