Mass in A Major

Commissioned for the 45th anniversary of the Greater Westfield Choral Association, this is a standard Latin mass that opens in a fairly standard classical style and gradually evolves into a more modern sound by the end. The opening trumpet line forms the theme on which all the movements are based. The piece is suitable for choral groups of all ranges and features pleasant melodies. It also presents many opportunities for soloists. The piece lasts about thirty-five minutes.
