This haunting setting of Psalm 118 (119): 47, 48: "I will meditate on your commandments which I love exceedingly..." is both meditative and powerful. The chant-like melody is repeated as a round, building from unison, to two-part, to four-part, making this piece very accessible. The chant-like melody leads to a short homophonic section, following by a meditative return to the main melody. Available in SSAA, TTBB, and SATB voicings.
