"MEMORIA" is a 70-minute Choral Cantata in eleven sections and
with eleven collaborating instrumentalists. The piece primarily uses texts
taken from the so-called "English War Poets" of WW1, and it might
be featured, most appropriately, at Memorial Day, Veteran's Day or
Remembrance Day commemorations. A performance of the entire cantata would
best be undertaken by collegiate, professional, or high-quality amateur
ensembles. Two of the numbers, however,
are a cappella works, and these - #4 - "In Flanders Fields" and #8
- "For the Fallen" - would be suitable for high-quality high school
choirs.
