Inspired by the energies apparent in every city, this five movement suite has everything from hectic textural romp, to dreamy, quasi-minimalistic reverie, to statuesque drama, and more. A substantive and worthy addition to the advanced pianist's recital repertoire. In the composer's own words: "The [city] is a completely unique experience that breeds collaboration for the inspired, ambition for the eager, danger in the masses, beauty in the diversity, coldness in the operation, power in the structure, and everything in between."
