Mi Bossa Es Su Bossa

Mi Bossa Es Su Bossa is an original bossa nova based on a similar chord progression to All the Things You Are. For variety there's a contrasting swing section in the middle before returning to the orginal bossa nova style. Piano and bass and then trombones provide the introduction before cup-muted trumpets in unison take the first statement of the melody. The sax section takes the bridge before the full ensemble closes the first chorus. Optional written or improvised solo space is available for trumpet 2, and any number of auxiliary percussion parts may be added for additional authenticity. Especially designed for better middle school and developing high school jazz groups, this accessible chart has a lot to offer!
