Mile a Minute

This work is in the style of a moto perpetuo, which means perpetual motion. The piece is always moving forward propelled by a constant stream of eighth notes. This composition serves as a tribute to Kirk Taylor who has touched thousands of lives over the past thirty years as a band director at Rocky River High School. This work was commissioned by family and friends of Kirk as a gift to commemorate his retirement.
