Mira Has Finished with Waiting

This third movement of The Ecstatic Songs cycle incorporates musical material and melodic gestures that seem familiar to those of the previous movements as well as the reappearance of the solo cello as the longing in Mira's voice. This substantial and challenging work utilizes changing meters throughout and has some free harmonic progressions bound within clear tonal centers.
