Mischief

This programmatic work mimics shenanigans through driving ostinatos, whimsical interjections, and an off-kilter groove. This momentum is halted by an aggressive call and response between the winds and percussion. In the middle section, the mischief maker apologizes through a lyrical tenor saxophone solo that is echoed through the whole ensemble. As with any jokester, the apology wasn't sincere and the mischief continues. Enjoy making mischief!
