Composed early in the pandemic in 2020, this program-length concert work for soloists, chorus, and orchestra follows in the footsteps of liturgical-concert tradition. Similar in scope to the requiems of Brahms, Verdi, and Dvorak, it is by turns introspective, powerful, subtle, and explosive, with aria-like movements for the soloists, rousing choral movements, and evocative orchestration.
