His most popular contributions to this genre are his Grand Canyon Suite (1931 ) and the four-movement Mississippi Suite (1926). The Mississippi Suite is a portrait of the mighty tiver in four movements. Dutch arranger Stefan Outjes transcribed this typical American characteristic work for concert band.
