This a jazz piano tune which contains an written intro, phrase,
  interlude, and chorus. This is a relatively easy chord structure to follow
  for beginners to the genre and has a lot of room for creativity for veterans.

  a slower start and finish with a faster middle containing an ostinato in the
  bass part. Extra notes can be included in the middle section for more complex
  chords and the tempo in highly flexible in the slower sections.

Adagio in A is a work for string orchestra. The mood builds throughout
  the piece and is relatively somber. Much can be done with the tempo,
  especially in the more passive passages. I begins and ends with a
  contemplative chordal section containing several dissonant notes which
  resolve and lead into the next bars. This sections grows into a local climax
  and leads to the following sections which progressively contain more
  movement. Each section builds in complexity and movement before slowing into
  the final climax of the piece. The ending is the return to the slower, more
  somber, chordal passages from the beginning.

This is a solo piano version of an piece for orchestra and piano. It is a modern and dramatic composition for intermediate players. There is pedal notation for portions of the piece where the duration of notes should be extended but are shortened for clarity in reading, but the pedal should be used musically throughout the piece. There is also a portion where it is necessary to spit into three staves for clarity. The bottom two staves are both to be played by the left hand and the top staff is to be played with the right. There are markings for major dynamics and tempo changes, but liberties with both should be taken by the player. This can be heard in the sample recording of the piece.
